Summer Sixteen
Taylor done did it again ya'll. I present to you my first bikini beach photo shoot. Prepare yourself for miraculous lighting and severe beach feels.
As beautiful the outcome was, surprisingly this day was such a struggle to begin with. After months of scheduling conflicts, we finally set a date for the shoot with a perfect location in mind. We leave about 30 minutes later than planned, but still fully relaxed about our itinerary. Of course we hit traffic that delays our arrival by over an HOUR! We made it to the beach location we wanted to shoot at and found that it was PACKED. Multiple wedding shoots were happening, there were tons of people everywhere, and the tide was rising FAST. Then I get a call from one of the models saying her car broke down and she won't be able to make it! I thought for a minute to myself, "Should we cancel altogether?" I was so devastated because I knew myself and the rest of the girls were so excited for this day we had been planning for quite some time. We kept our heads up and decided we were going to turn our own day around.
Quickly, we decided to make the trek to Thousand Steps Beach and I'm so glad we did. (Which was a lie... There were only 313 stairs. We counted.) We set up quickly, held up towels for one another to change modestly, Taylor set up her equipment in lighting speed, and I monitored the tide levels and kept moving our belongings further up the shore! I even decided to be a stand in model :)
We overcame the obstacles of the day, however small they were relatively, and something beautiful was created. For those reading, I hope this can be a metaphor to inspire you to keep at it and do something great even when it feels like the elements are against you.
There are even more photos located in my LOOKBOOK.
